This dish was inspired by the delicious variety of heirloom tomatoes I’ve been finding at my local farmer’s market! It’s a classic summer dish that’s refreshing, flavorful, and simple to make. Serve it at your next summer cookout or with dinner to add a pop of color to your table!

Ingredients
- 10 small/medium heirloom tomatoes, sliced in halves or thirds (depending on size)
- 8oz fresh mozzarella, cut into bite-size pieces
- 1/4 cup of fresh basil, sliced or torn into bite-size pieces
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of pepper
- Olive oil (to drizzle)
- Balsamic glaze (to drizzle)
Directions
- Arrange the sliced heirloom tomatoes on a serving platter, slightly overlapping.
- Add basil leaves, situating the leaves between the tomatoes.
- Top the salad with mozzarella pieces.
- Sprinkle the salad with salt and pepper.
- Drizzle olive oil across the salad once in a zig-zag motion.
- Drizzle balsamic glaze over the salad 1-2 times in a zig zag motion (depending on desired level of sweetness).
Enjoy!
